The Plantation pomegranate tree, Punica granatum 'Plantation', was found to be growing at an  abandoned old Southern plantation in Georgia that reliably grows large quantities of apple-sized fruits every year that have a very good-tasting juice that is refreshingly sweet.  The Plantation pomegranate juice is flavorful and smooth to taste.  The  Plantation pomegranate bush is cold hardy and will survive when grown in zones 7, 8, 9 and 10.
