Texas Star Banana Plant

Alternative Views:

Texas Star banana plant grows into a small tree that some growers consider to be a dwarf banana plant, however, the Texas Star banana tree can grow to 8 feet tall with very thick broad leaves that reach 6 feet in length.  The Texas Star banana tree is remarkably robust and is cold hardy resistant to USDA zone 7,8,9 and 10, and this tree is an excellent container plant that can be grown to maturity in a 15 gallon pot.  The bananas when completely ripe are freshly sweet and the bouquet of the ripening bananas is fruity and mellow.

Rotted tops December 22, 2014
Reviewer: George Polkowski from Las Vegas, NV United States
Both banana plants had slimey rotten tops.  There was at least one healthy looking reddish root bud on each plant.  Here's hoping that the rot will not affect their growth.  I'll have to wait and see.

Your response to replacing  our damaged order was greatly appreciated.  These plants look much more alive.
