The Baba red raspberry is actually a hybrid cross of a red raspberry and another mysterious pollinator but the pollinator could be either another red raspberry or a blackberry. The production from this variety climaxes in the summer and yields huge quantities of fruit, so much that freezer storage is recommended. The flavor is sweet and tart; a pleasant combination of flavors that makes a fantastic raspberry jam possible.
