Crinum Lily Bulb


Crinum are relatively unknown members of the lily family, basically because they reproduce slowly, or sometimes not at all and commercial growers generally can't quickly make profit on them. The bulbs are gigantic as a general rule and after a period will divide to form clumps, however, some seed grown crinum have never formed offsets after 25 years, but blooming is reliable as long as the bulbs are left undisturbed.










Most mailorder companies do not offer crinum for sale, because they are not commercially available from wholesalers, and the heavy weight of the bulbs is prohibitively expensive for most companies to stock and then ship.
