General Information on buying- planting- and growing Muscadine and Scuppernong grapevines from internet nursery sites
Muscadine grape vines, native United States plants, have saved European grape and wine industries by serving as rootstock for grape plants that almost succumbed to disease. Muscadine plants are very productive and cold hardy, and male scuppernong varieties like Carlos can produce 100 pounds per vine. The Fry female scuppernong grape is large and sweet and is often pollinated with the male scuppernong grape vine, Carlos.
