Dewberry Blackberry Plant

Alternative Views:

The Dewberry plants are trailing vines that bloom early in March, and the berries ripen before any other blackberry bush or raspberry plant.  Dewberries are a favorite of every farm child who roams the fence rows looking for berries to eat in the spring.  The Dewberry is purple-black when fully ripe and is filled with juice that is sweet to the taste.  The thorns of the Dewberry vines are fuzzy and not really painful to touch like thorns of some blackberry bushes.
