Fishing Pole bamboo plant

Alternative Views:

The Fishing Pole Bamboo Plant, Phyllostachys aurea, is one of the most common types of privacy screening bamboos in use that has been planted for centuries for the slender, straight poles that are familiar to most fishermen.  The fishing poles are cut for using when green, and  the canes are then dried to produce a yellow color and grows to about 25 feet tall.  The individual poles are about one-inch thick in diameter.
