Alternative Views:

The Italian Everbearing fig tree, Ficus carica 'Italian Everbearing' is an excellent flavored, white colored fig that grows to the ultimate size of a large lemon, and the seed are small, and the pulp is juicy and imbedded with a balanced flavor of Lemony-sweet that is agreeable and delicious.  The Italian Everbearing figs are excellent for eating when picked fresh off the tree during the July-August ripening period.

The tree appears to have a bud on it and looks like it could take off. However, the roots were folded from the bottom to the top in the packaging and those at the top dried out and died because they were outside all of the wrapping and exposed to the air.
